Slim Card Wallet - Full Grain 100% Leather Minimalist

100% leather slim card wallet - hand made using 3-4mm full grain veg tanned leather. This is a premium card wallet that will last for years. It has two card slots on the front, but it's designed to hold most of your cards or cash inside. The main compartment will expand and form around its contents.

This wallet is hand sewn using 100% nylon upholstery thread - very strong stuff. The veg tanned leather develops a nice weathered look over time. It's a natural tan that is used on saddles and belts.

Front or back pocket wallet

Put this in your front or back pocket - the flat back fits nicely against your body. This wallet has no hard edges and stays comfortable even when you sit down on hard seats. The leather is also sturdy enough to maintain shape and keep your cards protected.

It's more secure to keep your wallet in your front pocket - it's less conspicuous and harder to steal.

Why only two card slots?

Most wallets use 1/2mm thickness or less chrome tanned leather with fabric panels underneath and cardboard for structure. They tear very easily. I use 3-4mm solid veg tanned leather, so more card slots will add significant thickness and prevent the main compartment from expanding. You really only need a couple of slots on the outside. Put the rest of your cards or cash inside.

With two slots on one side, you have easy access to two of your most used cards while keeping the wallet profile as slim as possible.

Is this an RFID wallet?

No, and here's why - you really don't want a wallet with an RFID panel sewed in. It typically consists of a piece of cardboard with tinfoil on one side that forms the center structure of the wallet. They are poorly made, the leather is paper thin, and they only protect the cards in the center compartment or on the back slots behind that panel. If you really want RFID protection, buy an RFID card online. They are very cheap; put one in the inner compartment, and then put your important cards behind it.

Use an RFID Card

If you're worried about security, get on of these. They are the same size as a credit card. Just put it in the main compartment, and everything behind it will be protected.

What's wrong with current slim/minimalist card wallets?

Current slim card wallet or 'RFID' wallets are very cheaply made for the following reasons.
  • paper thin leather - although they might say real leather, it's actually just a super thin leather veneer over cloth or textile type material.
  • glued together - the card slots of most mass produced slim wallets are glued together, nothing is stitched. They just pull part in a few months.
  • cardboard structure - most of these wallets use such thin, cheap materials that they have to put a piece of cardboard in the center of the wallet for support. Take any one of these wallets apart and you'll see this support structure, and it might have Chinese writing on it as mine did.
  • They don't last - I bought one of these cheap wallets, and it fell apart within a few months - while I was on vacation actually, so I just had to deal with it.

Interviewer: Do you think wind energy is the future?
CowboyBenWade: I've never seen a wind powered tractor before. I'm not entirely sure how you'd make something like that.
Interviewer: Have you ever seen a horse’s ass up close?
CowboyBenWade: That’s something I could be envious of - even for myself.
Interviewer: How does a donkey fight?
CowboyBenWade: A donkey doesn't run very fast, and it's got some nice meat back there. All it can do is turn and face its enemy. Then it will stand up on its hind legs and swing its hooves.
Interviewer: Is farming a dirty job?
CowboyBenWade: I don’t take a shower every day, and sometimes I remember to use soap.
